UXRETREAT 2022
An unconference style retreat for practitioners to connect
UXRETREAT is an informal 3 day space to unwind and reconnect with yourself and other ux / design leaders on Waiheke Island. The retreat combines discussion groups and workshops as provided by attendees with optional activities to experience the delights of Waiheke Island.
LOCATION
This year we have a brand new luxury designer space to share, ‘Kaitiaki Lodge’ located overlooking native bush in Onetangi, Waiheke Island. There are many options for breakout spaces with two lounges and fabulous outdoor spaces to gather. Facilities include a heated pool and hot tub, a 20 minute bush walk and also eco-zip adventures down the road.
“I always love coming to this, I love coming to Waiheke any time of year. As always we stay in really nice places, you can go out the balcony and just breath and relax.”

PRICING
We like to keep the UXRETREAT accessible, fun and informal. As part of the ‘unconference’ vibe there are no special facilitators, tours or transport operators.
Rooms inside the retreat location are available, and once they are booked, attendees will need to find their own accommodation, preferably near by in Onetangi.
Included:
There is an admin fee of $230.00 (exc. GST.) which covers the cost of in-house meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), petrol for transport pick ups, cleaning and service fees and administration time.
Payment of the admin fee books your place on the retreat out of 20 places (excludes booking your room - see below).
Booking accommodation in the Lodge:
If you would like to book one King Single Bed in a twin share room it is $171.00 / night. There are four rooms with two king singles per room available, or 8 beds in total downstairs.
UPDATE: Accommodation at the lodge is now full. There are however some great options near by in Onetangi.
If you would like to book the Master Bedroom with ensuite on the upstairs floor, it is $380.00 / night. There is only one of these types of rooms available.
Not included:
Meals and drinks out are covered by attendees individually.
Cost of passenger or car ferry travel.
Tours or activities such as wine tours, eco-zip.
Any flights required to get to Auckland.

We will do our best to keep good air flow throughout the retreat spaces while we work together (there are sliding doors in the main space). We can also utilise the outdoor spaces as much as possible. Mask wearing is optional.
